We are the Tam High Varsity Cheer Team! We love cheering for our football and basketball teams, at school rallys and representing our amazing school spirit in our community.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to improve our athleticism and performance, continue to stunt safely, hire nationally recognized stunt coaches and dance choreographers, fund scholorships, help with uniforms costs, cheer camp fees, transportation costs and to pay for this winter's cheer practice facility fee as we do not have practice space at Tam High.
Seven years ago our team didn't exist! It was the vision of Sheri Ivory and Danielle Hirsch and the love and support from funders like you that allowed us to form a team and grow. We are now 24 athletes strong! We practice 3 times a week and attend weekly games from Sept. to March while keeping a strong GPA!
We keep pushing ourselves to be better stunters, dancers and athletes. To accomplish this, we need your financial support! Any amount will help!!!
Thank you Boosters for sharing our Rally via social media!
About TAM Athletics
Athletics play an important part in the Tamalpais Union High School District. Young people learn a great deal from their participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and how to win and lose gracefully are an integral part of each team in our athletic program. Athletics play an important part, too, in helping the individual student develop a healthy self-concept as well as a healthy body. Athletic competition adds to our school spirit and helps all students - spectators as well as participants - develop pride in their school.
Today, over 900 student athletes and 80 coaches participate in Tam interscholastic sports. Athletic Director, Christina Amoroso, works actively with the players, coaches, school administrators and the parents’ Booster Club. School Spirit plays an important part in Tam Pride and students rally around the Red-Tailed Hawks. We value good sportsmanship and as a North Coast Section member school have adopted the phrase “Pursuing Victory with Honor”. Tam High school received the annual MCAL Sportsmanship pennant first in 2009-2010 and most recently during the 2014-2015 school year.
